Nargiz Aliyarova
Professor Nargiz Aliyarova is the official accompanist of “Florida Keys” IMCYT for the Winners’ Gala Concert at Carnegie Hall in New York.
Distinguished and critically acclaimed pianist Nargiz Aliyarova was born in Baku, Azerbaijan. In 1991 she graduated from the National Conservatory with Distinction and her success as a student resulted in being awarded a Lenin Scholarship. Ms. Aliyarova first began her tenure as a senior teacher, then as an assistant professor and ultimately, in 2010 she was appointed as a Professor at the Baku Music Academy.
Since 2002 Aliyarova has been a member of the Azerbaijan State Piano Trio, performing in Azerbaijan and beyond. She has travelled to USA, UK, Germany, Italy, France, Austria, Croatia, Slovakia, Russia, Turkey giving concerts as a soloist, with chamber and symphonic orchestras and as well as being a collaborative musician.
In 2008 Ms. Aliyarova was named a Laureate of the Pietro Argento 11th International Competition held in Italy. In the same year she was declared an Honored Artist of the Azerbaijan Republic. In 2011 Ms. Aliyarova was awarded a diploma “For Outstanding Contribution to the Legacy of Chopin” by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage of Poland. In 2012 the Azerbaijan Commission of High Attestation awarded Nargiz Aliyarova the distinguished title of Professor, obtaining a PhD.
In 2015, the Belgian classical label Etcetera released a CD, named “Nargiz Aliyarova plays Chopin” with mazurkas, nocturnes and waltzes by Chopin. This disc was nominated to the highest reward of Azerbaijan, the Governmental Award. Etcetera has also released another disk: “Nargiz Aliyarova Plays Azerbaijani Music”. Her new CD was released in 2017 containing sonatas by Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven.
In 2107 Ms Aliyarova immigrated to the United States and currently lives in New York.
